Gyeonggi Nambu Office's "School Violence and Youth Drug Crimes" Risk Education
The Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency conducted "school violence and youth drug crime prevention education" to prevent damage caused by violence by teenagers and to block the risk of exposure to drugs.
The education was prepared by police officers of children's youth and children's youth visiting Chilbo Middle School in Suwon on the 2nd, forming a consensus between the police and the school that "school violence and juvenile drug crimes should not be missed" and "active prevention through education is needed."
Hong Ki-hyun, the head of the Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency, gave a special lecture on the theme of "The Risk of School Violence and Youth Drug Crimes" and awarded awards to six students who are actively engaged in school violence prevention.
On the same day, Director Hong emphasized, "School violence and juvenile drugs have a large impact and last long, so prevention is more important than any crime, and students' own self-purification efforts are more important than anything else."
Students who attended the meeting said, "It was a time to experience the dangers of school violence and juvenile drug crimes through education today," adding, "If there is a suspicion of crime in the future, I will actively report it."
Another student said, "I learned that the mischief that the perpetrator does without thinking becomes violence," adding, "I learned the danger of school violence and responded that it was a meaningful time to learn how to deal with it."
Director Hong expressed his will to "make sure that teenagers do not bruise from violence and crime by creating a safe environment," and will continue to conduct "special prevention education to visit" in collaboration with the Office of Education.
