"Why can't you let me play the game?"...My nephew, a middle school student who murdered my aunt's weapon
A teenage middle school student stabbed his aunt, who took care of him, to death because she "didn't let him play games."
According to multiple media reports on the 28th, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul announced the previous day that it had arrested a 13-year-old middle school student suspected of murder as a red-handed criminal and was investigating.
The junior high school student is suspected of brandishing a weapon against his aunt B in her 40s at a villa located in Cheongpa-dong, Yongsan-gu, at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. He reportedly committed the crime for not allowing his aunt to play games.
A man's grandfather, who was living with him, found him, contacted his uncle, and reported him to the police. He was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, but died at last.
The deceased man is known to have taken care of his brother at a house with his grandfather after his father passed away suddenly a few years ago. According to a neighbor's back, the man is known to have a developmental disability.
The police said, "We have lifted the arrest status after confirming that A is a criminal minor under the age of 14 and a so-called 'challenge boy'. We are currently investigating the motive of the crime."
Under the current law, juvenile offenders are not subject to criminal punishment and are only subject to protective measures such as ordering classes, community service, and sending to juvenile detention centers with no criminal records.
