Prosecutors raided EBS Chairman Yoo Si-chun...Suspicion of fraudulent use of business promotion expenses

The Goyang branch of the Uijeongbu District Prosecutors' Office raided Yoo Si-chun's EBS office in Ilsan-dong-gu at 10 a.m. on the 30th.

A prosecution official said, "The search for seizure was completed before noon. We cannot tell you how many investigators there are."

On the 4th of last month, the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission handed over related investigation data to the Korea Communications Commission and the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, saying that Chairman Yoo violated the anti-graft law and used the business promotion expenses illegally.

The Korea Communications Commission held a hearing before Yoo's dismissal on March 26.

Before appearing at the hearing, Yoo told reporters, "I didn't ask anyone to do so. I did my best to expand EBS's poor public finances and produce content so that teenagers can watch high-quality programs."
