Park (23), a woman who escaped from the alley where the accident occurred, said, "I was in the alley with my friend and fell with him, but I lost my friend and got out alone," adding, "People began to fall like dominos from the front of the alley." Bang (28), the boyfriend of the missing woman, said, "I am waiting vaguely because my girlfriend has not been able to contact me." According to the fire authorities, 120 people were killed and 100 were injured as of 3 a.m. on the 30th. Fire authorities have set up a temporary emergency medical center on Hangang-ro near Itaewon Station to treat the injured.The accident is believed to have occurred when crowds flocked to a narrow downhill alley near the Hamilton Hotel.
