"Jeonse Fraud" with my father...Police charged with fraud for daughter of 'Incheon architectural king'

Police confirmed that the daughter in her 30s of the so-called "architecture king," the culprit of the jeonse fraud in Incheon, also took part in the crime by playing the role of a "pants lessor."

According to multiple media reports on the 18th, the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency's anti-corruption economic investigation team booked B (34), the daughter of a 61-year-old builder, without detention on charges of fraud.

The police also charged B with violating the Certified Brokerage Act and the Act on the Registration of Real Estate Rights.

B is accused of partially participating in the crime of his father, who received 12.5 billion won in lease deposits from tenants for 161 apartment houses, including apartments in Michuhol-gu, Incheon, last year.

The police suspect that B lent his name to his father as an accomplice in the jeonse fraud case and acted as a pants landlord.

According to police investigation, B actually owned an officetel-type apartment in Michuhol-gu, Incheon under his name. The apartment, named after him, was built by his father in 2013.

Some of the apartments were auctioned off at random last year but were auctioned off. The auction will be held again next month.

According to the Michuhol-gu District Office's countermeasure committee against jeonse fraud, he served as the CEO of a real estate agent in Incheon. He also served as the CEO of a general construction company named after him. In the past, he reportedly ran various businesses similar to his father, running a coffee shop and distribution company.

Police are investigating 51 more accomplices including B in connection with the construction king jeonse scam. They will also be sent to the prosecution soon.

As a result of the additional investigation, the total amount of charges for lease fraud by A and his party is expected to be much higher than the 26.6 billion won estimated at the beginning of the investigation by the police.

A police official said, "The investigation has not yet been completed," adding, "We cannot yet disclose details regarding the charges of the suspects under investigation."

Meanwhile, three victims who failed to receive deposit for lease on a deposit basis from B's gang died in succession in Incheon recently. The man, who was nicknamed "King of Construction," had 2,700 apartments in Incheon and Gyeonggi Province, and was nicknamed "King of Construction."
