"Heavenly Palace, I'm going to make a silver town"...Huh is investigating allegations of real estate fraud following sexual harassment
"Heavenly Palace, I'm going to make a silver town"...Huh Kyung-young, honorary chairman of the National Revolutionary Party, is investigating real estate fraud charges following sexual harassment. It has been confirmed that Huh Kyung-young, honorary chairman of the National Revolutionary Party, is under investigation on charges of sexual harassment of female believers as well as real estate fraud.
According to SBS's exclusive report on the 26th, believers claimed that CEO Huh received hundreds of millions of won, saying he would sell the land of the religious facility "Heavenly Palace," and did not even tell them the location of the land, let alone the sale contract.
In 2019, A, who was a believer in the Sky Palace, handed 200 million won to CEO Heo twice at the price of 100 pyeong. "If CEO Heo becomes president, he will not use the Blue House in Korea, but use the Sky Palace like a presidential palace (he recommended investment)," A said.
There was no proper contract for sale. All they had was a piece of paper with the words "200 million won in full payment" and Heo's signature on it. When asked where the land was, he did not say.
There are other victims. B, a former Sky Palace believer, gave 300 million won in 2020 to Huh's words that he would turn Sky Palace into a silver town. B said, "There are medical facilities in there, and we can just eat what we made. So I heard that I can live comfortably in my old age." "At that time, the price of land will rise and it will be really good," he said.
The problem is that there is no transfer of title due to lack of a proper contract. The victims assumed that they bought the land near the palace, which was under construction at the time, but later found out that those who sold the house where they lived and gave money to Heo were defrauded.
When they said they would sue him for fraud, he returned the money. However, the Gyeonggi Provincial Police Agency started an investigation on charges of real estate fraud after obtaining Huh's handwritten receipt and the account details of the money that was exchanged at the time.
Asked by SBS whether he had ever sold any land, Huh said, "The believers wanted to buy it." He responded that he didn't even know the receipt.
When asked for the receipt, Heo said, "[Catholics] want to buy 100 pyeong of land near the palace. They wanted to live, so they said they would buy the land."
He said he sold the land but said he didn't sell it at all. "It's not for sale. Everything is legal. I have a lot of land, and I might sell some of it," Huh said.
When asked by reporters whether they sold some of them, the reporter answered, "No, I didn't sell anything." He also refuted that he is not managing himself.
What is absurd is that when the believers sent the money directly to the Haneulgung land account number they received, the name "Heo Management" came up.
He reported more than 48 billion won in assets as a candidate for proportional representation in the general election.
