'Starbucks Donates Kim Koo's Handwritten Hwiho'

Starbucks donated handwritten Hwiho of Baekbeom Kim Gu to commemorate the March 1st Indepe

ndence Movement Day. Starbucks Coffee Korea, along with the Cultural Heritage Administration and the Cultural Heritage National Trust, held a sponsorship event for the protection of independent cultural heritages at Jungmyeong Palace in Jung-gu, Seoul at 10 a.m. on the 5th. The title, written in 1948, means "the world is not private property of individuals, but belong to everyone." Starbucks purchased the Huiho with the Independent Cultural Heritage Protection Fund, which was established in 2015.

In addition to the hand-written Hwiho delivery ceremony, Starbucks donated 100 million won to the Cultural Heritage Administration and the National Trust, which was created with proceeds from March 1st and Independence Day commemorative products. Since signing an agreement with the Cultural Heritage Administration in 2009, Starbucks has been continuing to preserve cultural heritage by donating handwritten pen names of Dosan Ahn Chang-ho and Baekbeom Kim Gu several times.
