Explosion in Seosan Shopping District, Chungcheongnam-do Province... Three people, including a woman in her 60s, were injured

An explosion occurred in a commercial building in Eupnae-dong, Seosan-si, Chungcheongnam-do, causing serious and minor injuries to three people.

According to police and fire authorities on Thursday, an explosion occurred at a hair salon in Seosan, South Chungcheong Province, at 4:20 a.m. on the day, and a woman in her 60s was taken to a hospital after suffering burns all over her body. Two teenage passers-by near the building are also receiving treatment.

Fire and police suspect that the explosion occurred first at the hair salon on the first floor of the commercial building. A joint inspection of the fire department, the National Forensic Service and the Korea Gas Safety Corporation has been underway since 3 p.m. to investigate the details of the accident.

In this regard, Seosan City plans to review measures to support civil safety insurance and small business owners while supporting the disposal of construction waste.
