'난 괜찮아'가 가장 흔한 거짓말이다.

가장 흔히 말하는 거짓말은 '아무 것도 잘못되지 않았다 - 나는 괜찮다'이며, 28%의 응답자가 그것이 그들이 가장 좋아하는 거짓이라고 말했다. 인기 2위는 '반갑습니다'로, '현금이 하나도 없어요'와 '반지 드릴게요'가 뒤를 잇고 있다.

음료 브랜드 WKD를 대상으로 실시한 조사에서 남성이 여성보다 거짓말을 더 많이 하는 것으로 나타났다. WKD 대변인은 "세 번 거짓말을 하는 여성들에 비해 매일 5개씩 나오는 등 가장 많은 거짓말을 하는 것은 남성들"이라고 말했다. 이것은 매일 평균 4개의 거짓말을 하고, 매년 1,400개까지 더해지고, 평균 성인 수명의 60년 동안 거의 88,000개의 거짓말을 한다.

대부분의 거짓말은 직장 동료들에게, 부모, 파트너, 배우자가 그 뒤를 잇는다. 인터뷰에 응한 남성 5명 중 1명은 여자친구에게 술집에 가거나 스포츠를 보기 위해 거짓말을 할 것이라고 말했다.

여성들에게는 걱정스러운 일이지만, '아니, 네 엉덩이는 그렇게 크지 않아'는 여덟 번째로 흔한 거짓말이다. 거의 4분의 1의 남성들이 자신의 파트너에게 그녀가 반대의 생각에도 불구하고 옷을 잘 입는다고 말했고 29%는 다른 여자와 시시덕거리는 것에 대해 거짓말을 했다고 말했다.

여론 조사 대상자 중 3분의 2는 선의의 거짓말을 할 때 죄책감을 느끼지 않으며 10명 중 4명은 거짓말을 잘한다고 생각하는 것으로 나타났다.

여성들이 가장 많이 하는 거짓말은 새옷의 가격이 얼마인지, 술을 얼마나 마셨는지에 관한 것이다. 75%의 사람들은 여성이 더 나은 거짓말쟁이라고 생각한다.

WHITE LIE - ‘I’M FINE’ IS THE MOST COMMON LIE The most commonly told lie is ‘Nothing’s wrong — I’m fine’ with 28 per cent respondents saying it was their favorite untruth. At number two in popularity is ‘Nice to see you’, followed by ‘I haven’t got any cash on me’ and ‘I’ll give you a ring’. The survey carried out for the drinks brand WKD found that men lie more than women. “It’s men who tell the most fibs, coming out with five every day compared with women who lie three times,” said a WKD spokesman. This gives an average of four lies a day, added up to 1,400 every year and almost 88,000 in the average 60 years of adult lifespan. Most lies are told to work colleagues, followed by parents, partners and spouses. One in five men interviewed said he would lie to his girlfriend to go to a pub or watch sport. Worryingly for women, ‘No, your bum doesn’t look big in that’ is the eighth-most-common lie told. Almost a quarter of men have said they have told their partner she looks good in an outfit, despite thinking the opposite, and 29 per cent have lied about flirting with another woman. Two-thirds of those polled said they do not feel guilty when they tell little white lies and four out of ten think they are good at lying. The most common lie told by women is about how much new clothes really cost and how much drink they have really had. 75 per cent people feel that women are the better liars.
